SofTrack Inventory 2.0 is the easiest to use and most complete solution for managing your collection of railroad equipment. It is designed for use on Macintosh or Windows computers with Filemaker Pro®. Our predefined layouts and scripts, and fully button-operated interface make it all even easier to use.
The templates run on any Mac or Windows computer that can run Filemaker Pro 6.0 or later, from Filemaker, Inc. (use of SofTrack Inventory no longer requires that you own Filemaker Pro for your computer!! ). Please check the Filemaker, Inc. website for system requirements.
Like version 1.0, there are three separately
designed modules for basic inventory tracking. One for engines,
freight cars, and passenger cars. All three provide complete
and comprehensive reporting features in numerous report formats.
Other modules manage Servicing and Maintenance, Images of inventoried
items, and Workshop Inventory. (Menu

over 40 vital bits of information on each item, including:
Version 2.0 features many other new items including Scale, Material the item is constructed in, Class, Era Associated With, and more comprehensive listings of details. More buttons and more scripts to make the task easier.
These 3 modules are used to keep history on all servicing records, either scheduled or repair services. A simple click of a button in the inventory module posts the item to ServiceTrack for service. In the ServiceTrack module, you can enter what work is performed, how long it took, what day it was completed, parts used in repairs, etc. When completed, another button updates the inventory module.
This module provides a place to record major additions to your layout. Enter static items like structures, vehicles, figures, scenic features, or just about anything else, and record information associated with it such as what area it is installed in, and a scrolling text field for notes about the model.
Keep track of your inventory of parts, unbuilt kits, tools, and supplies with the Workshop module. Allows up to 10 different prices for each item. Places for ordering source, manufacturer's number, Walther's number, category and sub-category, re-order level and re-order amounts. Automatically reports which items need to be re-ordered to your preset limits.
Graphical database comes to model railroaders! Do you have access to a scanner or video capture board? Use Engine, Passenger, Rolling Stock, or Layout modules to look up pictures of each item in its inventory! Simply click a button on any record. If it's in the ImageTrack database, Pictures are displayed along with pertinent details from the associated inventory. Color, gray scale or B & W. Anything Filemaker Pro can import can be used.
Every button and every screen display has been redesigned in version 2.0. Careful selection of color schemes, redesigned icons, 3D buttons and layout elements all add up to an easy to use interface that is even more of a pleasure to use.

PLEASE NOTE: The stand-alone version has some limitations over the version requiring Filemaker Pro. This is a function of the runtime package from Filemaker, and not something we've done. Most of these are minor, but you may find references in the manual to certain steps which modify the database structure that will not be available to you without the full version of Filemaker Pro installed.
When ordering, specify Mac or Windows versions and whether you want the stand-alone version (Filemaker® Pro NOT REQUIRED). All orders are for software downloads since we do not provide software on discs.
